I can't believe we've been here for a whole nine months, going on ten.
We were at a weekend market the other day. Dad was selling his wood products, which people loved. I brought along a pile of DVDs & you know what kind of DVDs i mean. Not only that thought, the really boring ones that i could do without; I can only keep a DVD if i have convinced myself that i would watch it millions of times over.
Thats why i still have Sleepover and Princess Diaries.
It was interesting though, selling things to people seems to make them decide you should know all their secrets. I was giving discounts to people just because they asked for them, or in one case because "his wife left him three days ago."
One lady asked for a discount, then just gave me the whole price because "you look like you need it." I was far too distracted to take offense. "I dont mean you look poor, just like a student or something." Hmm
My collection has been cut by 40. I think that leaves me with 200. And imagine people used to tell me not to buy them, that it was a waste of money. I always knew it was an investment. My old buddies the DVD people would be so jealous. Because with each one, I made an entire 4 yuan profit.
I forgot to mention the evil men at the gate. Tammy and I were leaving and asked them what they wanted to do so we could get back in. "Do we have to be stamped or something?"
"Oh YES," man #1 grinned sardonically, "You shall be stamped."
The other man giggled and added, "We will definitely stamp you."
We weren't really sure we wanted to get back in.

When i made the claim, I had no idea how much my place was coveted.
