More then one person I know have quite given up watching the news. And this isn't because most channels have little international news. Its not because of biased reporters or news stories. Its not even due to a raging dislike of a newscaster or two. Its sheer frustration from the feeling that there's just nothing anyone can do.
In other biased news. John took us out for a spin yesterday. We spun quite rapidly. My sleep last night did little to dull the memory. He's pretty good though, this is only after his second lesson. But I learnt the true meaning of what it is to be uncertain. But it wasn't that bad, John knows where the brake is.
If you go on a roller coaster, at least you KNOW that there's a very, very slight chance that its unsafe. The chance that you'd fall out of your seat or crash into something doesn't count for much. The chance is so small that you're almost more likely to be hit by lightning and eaten by a shark at the same time. That's not much of a ride.

I tihnk it's still a good tihng to watch the news. There is that uncomfortable fustration that comes with being shown brutality and relentless cruelty every day, but also we can see that and we can make up our minds even further of the unjustness of that country and its people.
The problem is that not nearly enough people watch the news.
There is that bias though, which the press force on us but we all know it is a controlled bias. But this is the only way we who are not suffering can find out a little of whats going on. I hope that people realise the bias, change their why of seeing things while keeping it in mind.
(I do think that the australian people are quite more unfeeling towards the plight of other peoples. They have their nightclubs their food and their house and yard. If the unjustice doesnt affedct them they dont give a damn. I hate them.)

Oooooh man! u girls are surely good at using words, i got to admit it, even though my heart tells me not to. News is the most stupidous thing to watch, its hardly anything but a bunch of stories. I don't even take a... to watch it.(Except sport news, of course!)

Here's an Idea, go back to your sports "news" and watch some guy kick a ball, or run in a circle really fast, while everyone calls him a "hero"
I on the other hand will continue being a dumb Australian, which must be because I dont watch sports news, or I dont sign online petitions to stop the war in the middle east.
I'm sure the petitions and all of the complaining you do about the current state of the world really helps you sleep at night, but how many wars have you stopped?, how many aid-packages have you flown in?, how many bombs have you defused?
I'd rather be a drunk apathetic moron than be someone that complains about the indifference of others just because you think you know more than they do, or you care more than they do.

But you also have to realize that almost half of the news they just make it up, to make it sound more interesting. Thats why I'm very caefull not to watch or beleive everything they say in the news..

What frustrates me is how easily they can cover up history, and how simple it is to distort the news. They seem to be able to spread opinion just with just a few poignant words. I feel like a programmed mutant gunea pig when i hear the same lines over and over.

Guys! Instead of talking about all thee news and wars that are going on in the world. Why don't we just stop and think of what we can do about it.
Is there anythng we can do to stop the war? NO,there's nothing we can do. So why don't we just try our best to care about the ppl who are around us instead. At least those little things we help ppl in needy can make a lot of difference to those ppl, and can make a big difference in their and our own life.
Nothing will make a differnce from just arguring about it or talking about it. Why don't we all just put those words into action. I'm sure that all of us are pretty capable of doing that. I'm sure that all of us has the same goal to make a difference in the world, to make it to be a better place for human kind.

But steffan, are you sure u're prepared for that. The great tribulation is not going to be easy. I thnk we still need to go through alot of training for that day. I'm not even ready myself....hell no! I haven't even done what I'm supposed to do for Christ....I even hope deeply inside that the Lord will just take me someday in my sleep, so I won't have to suffer all the trials and pains during the tribulation. But after thinking about it, I feel like I'm betraying everyone, and being selfish thinking that way. So yup! There's still alot more we need to get prepared for, especially me.
