The definition of a word is a pretty pathetic thing to make a post about. Unless its an interesting word. But as someone said, charm is a simple word that doesn't really need an explanation because its a small word and everyone knows what it means. "One of those words you can't explain because its too simple already."
I shrugged that bit of excellent logic off. Mostly because im stubborn.
The word love is simple, yet has a lot of definitions, meanings are constantly being added to it, and people are always trying to define it in a new and better way. Yet they all know what it means.
I still think I can squeeze more of an interesting definition out of my latest word obsession.
So far I've gotten to "that thing."

Charm (n), thesaurized: allurement, attraction, enchantment, fascination, magic, sorcery, spell.

Charm is always charming if its genuine. I think its the ability to make another person feel special. Without (apparent) ulterior motives. Anyway, what nixes everything out is that whats charming to one person could be grating or annoying to another. So ive made no apparent point, except of course that its really really easy to confuse myself.
