Its winter and our toes are freezing off. But 'someone' finally persuaded 'someone' that, yes, sometimes we need added warmth that doesnt involve slathering ourselves with oil or putting on long johns and 10 extra layers of clothing. So we got an extra heater. Yay.
Nikki and i are discovering the 'joys' of getting on the Doll (Dole). I wish it wasn't as complicated to work out, and that they would be much more forthcoming. We've got a couple of interviews, a few more forms and a 2 week wait. Its not too much to ask, i just take issue with some of the questions we have to reply to. They start off normal but gradually reduce to asking about our possible substance abuse, marriage(s), all the children in our care, and if we're indiginous? (That one was asked while i was standing at the desk, the guy did see the humor in it, saying it was a standard question.)
"Why, yes of course" we badly wanted to say; "I'm looking after three children whom i found, i am divorced with three other husbands, need my daily plonk, i drink 6 cups of coffee a day, and i think my confidence level for finding work is out of good, alright, and excellent, definitely Very Excellent."

though tee hee does not mean that i am completely comfortable with the phase 'nicky and i are getting on the doll'.
